EPC VALIDATION

To Protect an European Patent application or registration in Turkey, it must be applied to Turkish Patent and Trademark Office. After the registration of the European Patent, for protection in Turkey to begin; The European Patent is required to be submitted to the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office via a description, claims, summary, drawings Turkish translation.

Translation Note: If the translation of the Turkish language is not made within the time stipulated by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, or if the fee is not paid, the European patent shall be deemed invalid in Turkey.

European Patent Fascicule Cover Page Note: The publication cover page (B1 publication page) showing that the European patent is given must also be given.

Time Note: Validation process should be done in Turkey within 3 months which starts after the publication of the European patent registration bulletin.

Annual Fee Note: If the due date of the European patent is after the date the European patent is declared, then the annual fee shall be paid to the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.
